Edinburgh City Council has granted Edinburgh Steiner School permission to add to its campus a purpose-built Seedlings building for our youngest pupils, situated beside a C-listed villa in a protected conservation area of Merchiston.
The School continues in its fundraising efforts to raise £0.5 million. This ambitious goal is being generously supported by our School community in several ways:
- Gifts & grants, including the below.
- Potential Euro 100,000 grant from Software Stiftung, so far match-funding over half (£61,080) by the below initiatives.
- Spring Fair Entrance Tickets – all proceeds to GSP
- Monthly / One-Off Donations (acknowledged on our virtual Donor Tree)
- Alumni Lunch – a third of proceeds to GSP
- Christmas Markets (2022 – 2024) – 66% of this year’s proceeds to GSP
- Literary Royalties from former Teacher Charles Kovacs
- Adverts in School’s weekly ezine to over 1k subscribers (£1k+ so far) – subscribe
- Reducing the construction cost through community self-build elements (volunteer)
The remainder is intended to be met by a loan and further grant applications.
