Enquire & Book a School Tour
Prospective pupils and parents can visit the school. In light of Government measures our Open Days are for the moment being replaced by an invitation to an individual family to walk around our beautiful campus, set within three acres of mature gardens in Merchiston’s Conservation Area during after school hours.
We look forward to returning to our ‘in action’ Open Tours as soon as possible, which run one Friday each month during term time. Instead, you are invited to call the school to discuss your child’s future education and to make arrangements to see our classrooms and grounds outside school hours.
You are also welcome to continue your journey here.
Our Early Years Virtual Journey includes a 360 degree look inside our Playgroup and Kindergarten child-friendly architecture, a walk around the enclosed gardens, and our short film on the Early Years Steiner Waldorf education. Learn why we offer an entirely screen-free environment in the younger years, and read our Meeting The Costs of Childcare Guide. Our hours of provision extended in 2020/21.
Our Lower and Upper School Virtual Journey includes Frequently Asked Questions, An Essential Guide to Steiner Waldorf Education at Edinburgh Steiner School, the School’s weekly ezine and news, award-winning Waldorf architecture, extra-curricular activities, nutritious lunches, a gallery of our campus, Main Lesson Programme, Class ages, and our examination results, ranking Edinburgh Steiner School in Scotland’s Top 15 schools taking SQA Highers.
Links to these will be emailed to you promptly with a Prospectus and Admissions Pack, following submission of the enquiry form here.
I feel the Steiner education is giving
my daughters a rich and curious mind,
a strong body and a creative spirit. The
broad education, the feeling of the arts
and the connection with nature roots
them to the world and prepares them
well for an ever changing future.
