Parent Christmas Craft Group

Join Our Parent Craft Group: Let’s Create Magic for the Christmas Market!

The group is a chance to come together and have some fun while we make some creations to sell at the Christmas Market – whether you are a seasoned crafter or a complete novice, all are welcome to these free workshops.

A huge thank you to the members of our parent community who will lead our sessions, Bree Quin and Pauline Cuburu.

 

Bree Quinn is a multi-media artist and designer. Bree completed the Steiner Teacher Training course 10 years ago and has had many years experience working in the kindergarten and teaching art classes. She now runs a small Steiner/Waldorf nature craft business and is a parent at the school.

Crafting Together, Building Community and Beautiful Things, in the Handwork Room, Woodlands (top floor) on the following Saturday dates:

  • Session 1: 7th September, 10am – Noon Tiny House Painting and Sewing Felted Ornaments
  • Session 2: 21st September, 10am – Noon Air-dry Clay Hanging Ornaments and Trinket Bowls
  • Session 3: 28th September, 11am – 1pm
  • Session 4: 5th October, 10am – 1pm
  • Session 5: 26th October, 10am – 1pm
  • Session 6: 2nd November, 11am to 1pm
  • Session 7: 9th November, 11am to 1pm
  • Session 8: 16th November, 11am to 1pm
  • November 23rd is the Christmas Market

If you are unable to join the workshops, but are able to create at home, all donations of crafted items for the Christmas Market will be warmly welcomed, please spread the word with any crafty friends and family who may be willing to contribute!

 

Wanted: Crafting Materials To Upcycle

We are also looking for any surplus crafting materials and will ‘upcycle’ them into some new and fantastic creations. Please consider donating any of the following if you have them lying around:

  • cotton and felt sheets of winter colours
  • tartan or checkered clothing
  • old pure wool clothing we can use to make felt
  • jute string and small jars.

Any donations can be left at the School Office.
