Alumni’s Advanced Higher Art Exhibition

Advanced Higher Art Teacher, Penny Reid will exhibit former candidates’ portfolios.

This exam is the crescendo of a curriculum that uniquely integrates the arts into all academic disciplines throughout the education. Perceived from a Waldorf perspective, this encourages the pupils’ emotional engagement with their learning, as well as develops their imagination and freedom of thinking, and instills aesthetic appreciation.
Advanced Higher Art & Design results are outstanding, with all candidates achieving an ‘A’ grade for three consecutive years. The portfolios of two previous ESS candidates were selected to be included in an SQA online exhibition in 2023.
This alumni exhibition of art will mark the School’s 85th year since it was founded on 2nd May, 1939. It is part of the School’s Spring Fair and Founder’s Day programmes.
Advanced Higher Art pupils of 2023/24 will now exhibit their work at a separate event, opening to the school community and widder public on Wednesday 15th May, and will open again for the school community on Thursday 16th May. Visit: Advanced Higher Art Exhibition

The event is open to our community of enrolled families, our wider Waldorf friends, including all former scholars, parents and teachers, and close friends. Prospective families curious to join are most welcome.
