ESS Welcomes An (Almost) New Board of Trustees

Edinburgh Steiner School welcomes a new Board of Trustees this academic year, including returning trustees, alumni, parents and grandparents, with decades of expertise in finance, marketing, crafts, the education sector in Scotland, anthroposophy and Waldorf pedagogy.

The legal, financial and employment matters of the school are the responsibility of our trustees, who gift their time and expertise on a voluntary basis in a philanthropic effort to support the sustainable delivery of Waldorf education in Edinburgh.

The school is constituted under The Memorandum and Articles of Association which established the school as a ‘limited trust’ in 1947. It is therefore a company limited by guarantee and the Trustees are its directors. ESS is also a registered charity and is subject to the provisions of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 including supervision by the Office of the Scottish Regulator (OSCR).

Below is what each have to say about Waldorf education. Together, they bring a wealth of expertise to the Board in support of our school. You can learn more about the eight individuals by following the links to their bios on our website:
