Programme Of Summer Term Camps For Ages 3 – 18

Activities on campus during the school holidays – including Drama, Manual Cinema, Early Years and Circus & Crafts – can now be booked. Open to pupils and families not enrolled at Edinburgh Steiner School.

 

The School holidays begin on Thursday 4th July at 1 pm.

After School Club will be on, offering wraparound until 5.30 pm on the last day of term. Following this, ESS has a programme of Summer Camps on offer. Children do not need to be enrolled at ESS to attend:

  • 8th – 12th July – Manual Cinema
  • 29th July – 2nd August  – Circus & Crafts Camp
  • 29th July – 2nd August – Early Years Summer Club
  • 5th – 9th August – Circus Camp
  • 5th – 9th August – Early Years Summer Club
  • 12th  – 16th August – Manual Cinema
  • 12th – 16th August – Drama Camp

BOOK

Edinburgh Steiner School is an approved childcare provider. Parents of a child aged eleven and under can use their Tax-Free Childcare account to meet the cost of inhouse ESS Summer Clubs, thus reducing the price by 20%.

MANUAL CINEMA WORKSHOP: Young participants will delve into the pre-cinematic era of lights and shadows, engaging in activities with magic lanterns, crankie theatre, and camera obscura, led by Waldorf-trained teacher, Marta Kalfas in a small group of between 5 – 12 children. Ages 7 – 10. Times: 9 am – 1 pm / 3.15pm. 8th – 12th July / 12th  – 16th August  Book

 

Circus Camp has been running for several years. Peter Sheen & Yifat Leibner will once again be offering this, bringing in specialist Circus practitioners Maestro Jackie Davis with Ellie Davis, during the second week. (Read reviews). Just a few spaces left. Age 6+. Book: Week 1 (29th July – 2nd August; 8.30 am – 1 pm / 3 pm / Week 2 (5th – 9th August, 8.30am – 3pm)

 

 

EARLY YEARS CAMPS: Join us for a week of play and summertime fun! This camp will offer a gentle rhythm of stories, songs, crafts, summer activities, and free play inside and out. Led by Julie Demet and assisted by Ellie Canepa-Anson, the Summer Camp will be held in the Kindergarten. Ages 3 – 6 years old. 29th July – 2nd August / 5th – 9th August  Book

 

 

 

DRAMA SUMMER CLUB: James Cumming (After School Drama Club Coach), Eilidh Smith (After School Club) will be offering this 5-morning workshop. It will focus on a mixture of traditional and contemporary content (acting scenes and devised work but also lip-syncing and different types of physical theatre). Book
