Advanced Higher Art & Design Exhibition Opens At Founder’s Day Spring Fair

The Advanced Higher Art exam is the crescendo of a curriculum that uniquely integrates the arts into all academic disciplines throughout the education.

Perceived from a Waldorf perspective, this encourages the pupils’ emotional engagement with their learning, as well as develops their imagination and freedom of thinking, and instills aesthetic appreciation.

Advanced Higher Art & Design results are outstanding, with all candidates achieving an ‘A’ grade for three consecutive years.

The portfolios of two previous ESS candidates were selected to be included in an SQA online exhibition in 2023.

This year’s Advanced Higher Art pupils will exhibit their work, opening the show at the Spring Fair. This year’s event will mark the School’s 85th year since it was founded on 2nd May, 1939.
