Overseas Students Get The Spotlight

Our School welcomes pupils from all over the world, who attend our Upper School for one term or longer. For visiting students in Class 10 there is the opportunity to formally validate their English language skills through the internationally recognised Cambridge exams suite.

EAL Excellence – A Globally Leading Centre For English As An Additional Language

Between 2016 and 2020, pupils have achieved a 100% pass rate. Better still, the pictured graph shows that out of a possible score of 190 for exam results, our Centre has achieved 182 this year, a higher average achieved by our English as an Additional Language (EAL) pupils than the rest of the UK (164.5) and world (166.1). A huge well done to our EAL staff and, of course, the hard-working pupils themselves.

Overseas Pupils Film

You can watch a small documentary film on our Overseas Programme below, including a beautifully engaging interview with Class 10 pupil, Emelia, from Germany. We currently have pupils from both Waldorf and non-Waldorf schools visiting our school, who live with host families, who are often part of the School community themselves.  Find out more about our offering for Visiting Pupils here.

The original music accompanying the short film is by former pupil, Benny Tetteh-Lartey, featuring his own unique,  self-built, instrument, the combuitar.
