Class 10 have designed a gate to replace the one at our Polwarth Terrace entrance. As part of their metalwork lesson, they are presently creating the foliage which will adorn it.
One of the unique features of the Steiner curriculum is that senior pupils, no matter what their exam choices, continue to pursue subjects such as handwork and craft.
In a recent article, Roger Kneebone, Professor of Surgical education at Imperial College, London, noted that while many aspiring surgeons had strong academic skills, they lacked dexterity. “It is important and an increasingly urgent issue,” says Professor Kneebone.
