From the age of six, our pupils begin formal (desk based) learning under the care and guidance of their Class Teacher. This carefully selected individual will remain with the Class for much, if not all, of their Lower School years. In our rapidly changing world, this continuity of support, guidance and structured academic development creates an ideal environment for sustained and supportive learning.
While the Class Teacher provides the Main Lesson each day, each class interacts with and enjoys the experience of a wide range of specialist subject teachers on a daily basis and throughout the Lower School period.
These years build on the work of the Kindergarten and share many of its qualities including the importance and beauty of the classroom environment and demonstrating respect for others.
