Last of Oberufer Trilogy To Be Performed By Class 12

For many years Class 12 pupils undertake two drama productions throughout their final academic year at Edinburgh Steiner School. Whilst they will round off their education in the school that for some has spanned twelve years of Lower and Upper school and perhaps Kindergarten too, with a Class 12 Play,  the first theatrical offering is the Three Kings Play. This is the third of the Oberufer plays, following the Paradise Play and Shepherds Play.

The pupils were on campus over the weekend erecting the set and organising the lighting; and they will all be in costume on Wednesday for a full run through ahead of their two performances this week.

Class 12 pupil Amiya designed the play’s poster (above); and fellow classmate Himika Gandhi adds this news piece:

Class Twelve are looking forward to sharing the Kings Play with everyone. We have been working very hard against the clock to learn lines, make and repair props and get costumes ready in preparation for the play.

This is the last of the three Oberufer plays performed annually. Class Twelve are excited to be a part of this tradition as we have been watching these performances growing up.

We look forward to seeing you in the School Hall on:

Thursday 25th January at 7pm

Friday 26th January 2pm (school performance)

Please note that this play is suitable for Class 6 age pupils upwards.
