Edinburgh Steiner School is seeking a skilled and values aligned Finance Manager to support the financial health and long-term sustainability of our independent, not-for-profit school.
This role is central to ensuring strong financial stewardship while upholding the ethos and collaborative governance of Steiner education.
- Salary: £42,000 per annum
- Start date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, management, and monitoring of the annual budget
- Produce monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and yearend reports
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Manage fee invoicing, payment plans, and arrears processes with clarity and sensitivity
- Coordinate Sage payroll and liaise with external providers where required
- Ensure compliance with charity law, HMRC requirements, VAT, audit processes, and regulatory reporting
- Support the Board of Trustees and the Senior Management Team with clear financial insight for decision-making
