Presenting The Bard's shortest and arguably most humorous of comedies, the 13- and 14-year-old cast are bursting with mistaken identities, physical humour, and utter farse as the story follows two sets of identical twins: two masters (both named Antipholus) and their two servants (both named Dromio) - who come from Syracuse and Ephesus.
The whole play is about being mislaid - people, money, messages, even identities. Nothing ends up where it is supposed to be, and everyone insists they've already given or received what they definitely haven't. Because there are two of everything, character's are forever claiming or denying ownership of things that should be theirs. All you need to ask yourself is: Which date is mine?
Come and spend your evening laughing yourself silly as the masters collide, servants argue and chaos reign as the twins' confusions unfolds - until order is joyously restored.
The opening performance is offered free to family, friends and the general public. This will be followed by a school performance at 1.45pm for Classes 5 upwards, where there will be no interval. Younger pupils aged 8+ are welcome to join the matinee with an adult or in After School Club.
The final performance will open its doors from 6.30pm for a table-seated audience. First come first row of tables, offering up to 29 tables of two, four or six. You are invited to pre-order nibbles and drinks to be on your table for arrival.
