Extra Curricular Clubs
There is an evident need for our pupils to engage in meaningful activities beyond the school day. In response, our Extra Curricular Activities Programme provides pupils with opportunities to use lunchtimes, and Clubs that try wherever possible to dovetail the end of the school day to focus on hobbies.
ESS has an active Student Council. Duke of Edinburgh is offered in the Upper School. Pupils in Classes 1-5 can join a Circus Arts club. There is a school U16 Boys Basketball team. Middle and Upper school Orchestra is available to pupils who play an instrument. Music lessons in piano, cello, violin etc can take place on campus. A large-scale drama production is put on by Classes 6-12 (Beauty & the Beast in 2025, Matilda in 2026).
It is hoped the programme will be both enriching for the children attending them, and convenient to parents too.
Clubs are booked in termly blocks. It is possible to join mid-term, availability depending.

TAX FREE CHILDCARE
Eligible parents of children under 12 years old can use their Tax Free Childcare account* to meet the costs of both Wraparound and Clubs on campus. This reduces the cost by 20%.
*Childcare Vouchers such as Edenred can also be applied for children aged 12 and under in all on-campus Clubs.
