ESS Wraparound: Early Years

Wraparound for children in Seedlings and Kindergarten is available Monday to Friday until 5pm by an experienced Early Years practitioner. The session typically consists of a short play outside in the Kindergarten garden, then a shared fruit snack.  This is followed by crafts and activities appropriate to the children’s age, which may include a rest time.

Early Years Wraparound

ESS Wraparound: Class 1 – 6

There is a facility for Class 1 to Class 6 pupils Monday to Friday until 5.30pm. Spaces are offered as a block booking or as individual sessions dependent on availability. Children in Wraparound enjoy playing in small groups and may involve seasonal art and craft projects, as well as outdoor games in the school grounds. The times are reviewed every year and we respond according to requirements when it is cost effective to do so.

4.15pm – 17.30pm – £7.50/day*

Extra Curricular Clubs

There is an evident need for some pupils to engage in meaningful activities beyond the school day. In response, our Extra Curricular Clubs Programme provides pupils with opportunities to use lunchtimes and after school Clubs to focus on hobbies. Clubs are typically 1 hour long; and try wherever possible to dovetail the pupil’s school finish time (allowing for lunch and a break to play). Wraparound is offered either side of Clubs.

*Edinburgh Steiner School is a partner-provider of Tax-Free Childcare. After-School Club can be paid through a Tax-Free Childcare account, reducing the cost by 20% for children eleven and under.
