Under the system put in place by the SQA in 2024, individual candidates had an opportunity to appeal directly to the exam board, while the school also retained the right to appeal results which it suspected were wrong, due to marking errors. The overall pass rate (A-C) for Edinburgh Steiner School (ESS) Higher results was 82%. With this year marking a full return to pre-pandemic assessment and marking, Edinburgh Steiner School’s Higher exam results in 2025 were outstanding, with particularly strong performances in English, maths and art. The overall pass rate (A-C) for Edinburgh Steiner School (ESS) Higher results was 98% – among the highest of all time – and with no candidates failing any of their Highers.
