In early June I had the incredible opportunity to visit Bosnia Herzegovina as part of the “Lessons from Srebrenica” programme.
Play is an essential part of every child’s life. It is vital for the enjoyment of childhood as well as for social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. Since Scottish schools will be on holiday in August when national Play Day is held, Play Scotland suggested celebrating it on June 21st, the longest day of the year. The idea is to encourage children to get outdoors and get active.
As part of their four-week exchange with the Rudolf Steiner Schule in Coburg, Class 8 visited Bamberg. One of our pupils, Cristina, reports:

Following the resounding success of the art exhibition by our final year students last week, we were delighted by the diversity of subject and the talent on display at the Class 11 exhibition.
We are delighted to to welcome pupils and teachers from the Rudolf Steiner Schule in Coburg. They will be staying with us for the next four weeks. In the meantime, our Class 8 pupils and teacher are visiting Coburg.
